Are there benefits at an Ottawa Puppy Yoga class or event?
Scientific research has proven that puppy yoga = more serotonin. Doing yoga and meditating with cute puppies is fun, joyful and adorable. When playing with puppies, humans experience the release of several hormones, primarily oxytocin, dopamine, and beta-endorphins. These hormones are associated with feelings of well-being, bonding, and reduced stress. Here's a more detailed look:
- Oxytocin
Often called the "love hormone" or "trust hormone," oxytocin increases during positive interactions with dogs, promoting feelings of connection and bonding, according to NPR and Scientific American. - Dopamine
This neurotransmitter is involved in reward and pleasure, making play with puppies a rewarding experience for both humans and dogs, according to bpHope.com and Scientific American. - Beta-endorphins
These natural painkillers and mood boosters are released during enjoyable interactions with dogs, helping to reduce stress and increase feelings of well-being.
In addition to these, other hormones like serotonin can also be affected by interactions with pets, further contributing to the positive psychological and physiological effects of playing with puppies.
What are the benefits of Vibrational Medicine healing modalities?
Vibrational Medicine is a term coined by author Dr. Richard Gerber. "At the dawn of the 21st century, the old paradigms of medicine have begun to fall apart. We no longer believe that our bodies are machines with parts that wear down, only to be braced up by drugs or replaced through surgery. Instead, a growing number of pioneering researchers embrace a new view of healing – one expounded by Dr. Richard Gerber in his groundbreaking best‑seller, Vibrational Medicine. Now he shows how to put this new way of thinking into practical use, describing the role of consciousness and “thought forms,” covering subtle‑energy fields, acupuncture, Bach flower remedies, homeopathy, radionics, crystal healing, electrotherapy, radiology, chakras, meditation, psychic healing, as well as the benefits of sound vibration, color and light healing, magnetobiology, and other therapies. A traditionally trained physician, Dr. Gerber combines scientific evidence with traditional methods from the East and West to unlock our potential for healing ourselves."

Waitlist for Cancellations FAQ
Is there a waitlist for attendance cancellations?
If the event you want to attend is fully booked, we can place you on the waitlist and will notify you if a spot becomes available. We have a waitlist for each of our four social club events. Plans can change. To ensure the best experience for our puppies’ welfare, and for attendees, we prioritize maintaining an appropriate size group. We manage our event sizes effectively. Adding extra mats is not possible without compromising the quality of the event. Be sure that when a participant wants to reschedule their experience and notify us in advance, one of our team members will refer to the waitlist and text the next person(s) on the list. Although, for last minute announcements [and no-shows] we leave the group as is and don’t refer to the Waitlist.
Late Arrivals/Absent – Ticket Transfer – Refund FAQ
Can a ticket be transferred to another person?
Yes, you can easily do this. In your ticket confirmation email you will see a 'Transfer' button option. Click to open the link and select 'Transfer' and add the receiver's details and complete the process. You can also speak to staff at the event. They can assist you further with any ticket changes.
If I’m late to an event or unable to attend what happens?
Arriving at least 10–15 minutes before start time is best to ensure you have plenty of time for parking, check-in, going to the washroom, and settling in. We agree to set a 15-minute grace period for late arrivals. But in order to maintain a smooth and pleasant experience for participants and puppies please know that after the 15-minute grace period, no entry will be allowed. If you arrive late or miss the event entirely:
- No refunds or reschedules will be provided for late arrivals or no-shows.
- Please refer to Late/No-Show Policy
Do you offer refunds or exchanges?
We do not offer refunds at this time. If you accidentally booked the wrong date we can exchange your ticket(s) or issue a store credit for the ticket(s) amount. We need 48 hours notice. To do so contact customer service via email.
I can’t find my ticket email. Can you resend it?
Of course! We will resend it to you if you send us an email to ask. Check your spam folder if you don’t see it in your email. You can also view your ticket through your account on our website.
Puppy Adoption
How do I reserve a Shih Tzu Puppy in your next litter?
On the Shih Tzu Puppy Adoption page, When it comes to breeding, I only have 3 litters in a year. I’m not a business. I’m breeding Shih Tzus out of pure love and passion. Because I socialize my puppies during our events and classes, they are adopted when they reach 10 months. They leave when the next batch of puppies are ready for their socialization and training. My puppies leave fully vaccinated and dewormed, microchipped, trained on pee-pads, trained to go up and down stairs, and trained with basic commands. We both sign the contract and you get a health and malformations guarantee. My dogs and puppies are healthy, happy and intelligent. Interested in adopting a Shih Tzu from my litter? Fill out this registration form to book a call for more information on our process.
